Biossance 100% Squalane Oil

A few weeks ago I featured a skincare item that has become a fast favorite, and a staple in my everyday routine.  If you missed my post on the Biossance Squalane Vitamin C + Rose Oil for the face, you will want to check out what I like to call a little bottle of  “liquid gold.”  I also shared just how difficult it is for me to find something that works for my face, because I am EXTREMELY sensitive.  Well, the same goes for the rest of my skin.  It’s annoyingly sensitive and nothing REALLY helps with eczema or general dry patches. At least not anything that is natural and doesn’t contain topical steroids.  And we all know, topical steroids come with their own set of issues.  Thankfully, I have been able to find some relief with the Biossance 100% Squalane Oil.  And like the Vitamin C + Rose Oil you can use 100% Squalane on your face, of course, but you can also use it on your body and hair as well.

It truly is a versatile product, but one of my favorite ways to use it is directly after my shower.  It makes my skin sooooo soft, and it feels comfortable, NOT greasy.  Probably because it absorbs into the skin so quickly.  For me that is HUGE – because if I am just getting out of the shower, I want to feel clean – not like a grease ball that needs to get right back into the shower.  If you really want a luxe experience, apply this oil after a shave.  OH MY.  And it’s no wonder, because the Biossance 100% Squalane Oil hydrates skin on the molecular level.  Because our bodies produce their own version of squalane, it really makes sense as to why it works so well as a moisturizer.  Sure, you can use something else just as natural such as coconut oil….but does your body produce its own version of that? Nope.  Argan oil is great too, but you know what is even better?  A 53% improvement in accelerated cell turn over.  Yep, according Biossance research  (here) ,Squalane is “53% better at accelerating cell turnover compared to Argan oil.”  If you’re like me, and a bit obnoxious, then you too will only accept the BEST of everything.  Including cell turnover. 😆

As for use on my hair, I personally don’t like to use it after styling because my hair is so fine. I could see this form of application working for someone like my sister, who has curly, coarse hair.  I did however use it as a treatment and applied it to my hair before washing.  This application resulted in less frizzy hair so, for my hair type, that works best. In addition to all of the aforementioned uses (I could go on and on), I have also used this oil on TOP of my makeup.  Now, I don’t wear a lot of facial makeup (i.e. foundation, powder, etc), and thanks to the Biossance Squalane Vitamin C + Rose Oil my skin doesn’t have as many dry patches as it once did.  However, if by chance it does – because I went a little crazy with the zit cream during that time of the month – I can apply this directly to those areas that stick out like a sore thumb once you have applied your makeup.  It doesn’t even disturb my ‘masterpiece.”

And, finally, the last use I will share with you involves some of my most cherished and loved humans.  My offspring.  And this is a BIG deal, because I am so very cautious about what I put on their skin.  I really don’t ever want to introduce any form of toxins to their precious skin, especially with the knowledge that their little bodies don’t process those toxins the same way adults do.  That being said, I have complete confidence in the safety of all Biossance products because they are EWG.org verified and completely natural.  The squalane that Biossance created and uses in their products is 100% plant based and derived from sugarcane.  That being said, the product that I believe is most suitable for my children is absolutely the 100% Squalane Oil.  They, unfortunately, inherited my sensitive skin, and they have had ZERO reactions to this oil.  It really does help with some of their skin woes too, and it helps ease some of my momma bear anxieties knowing that it’s 100% safe.  They were also really excited to be included in my blog this week, and had a lot of fun taking pictures.  The last two pics are so “extra”and ridiculous, but I love it!

I want to say a big THANK YOU to Biossance for collaborating with me on this post.  I have never been this excited about sharing a brand or skincare item, EVER.  Also this post is NOT sponsored, but Biossance did kindly provide me with a complimentary bottle of their 100% Squalane Oil.  My opinions will always be REAL, and I will never compromise that.  So, it’s safe to say that I REALLY just love this oil and am 💯 obsessed. 😉
